I am Julie Fairclough

  • Level 2 England Athletics run coach
  • Hatha, yin and sports yoga teacher
  • Level 4 strength and conditioning coach

My love of health and fitness started in my twenties, when I began attending keep fit sessions and feeling the boost it gave me afterwards. In my thirties, a group of us from work started running at lunchtimes. I got hooked on the adrenaline kick that came after the run. Soon I could see my pace getting quicker, and it motivated me to keep going. After a while, I began to compete in races and triathlons.

Today, I’ve been fortunate to turn my passion into my career. In 2009 I gained run coach and personal trainer qualifications. Three years later I founded a running club in Bramhall, Cheshire. Since then, I’ve been coaching runners and triathletes of all levels.

Over the years I’ve realised every athlete is different, each with their own strengths, goals, and targets. It’s an approach that’s benefited me in so many ways – from competing myself, to coaching, to helping runners understand how to reset their bodies and stretch out muscles so that they can go on training hard.

In general, there are three elements to training: being strong in heart, strong in body and strong in mind. This is where cardio training, strength training and strength of mind all come in.

I can help you implement ways to build your cardio fitness, make yourself stronger, and gain mobility with different sessions to target each of these elements of fitness. Alternatively, we can factor all three elements into one session.

Or maybe it’s run pace guidance you need; or a tailored training plan; or group sessions to help you get stronger or build mobility and flexibility. In short, I will tailor a plan to fit in with your lifestyle, fitness level, experience, and personal goals.

Allow me to help you on your fitness journey!
